- The academic year runs from February to November.
- The University of Cape Town does not offer part-time study or distance study for undergraduate Engineering & the Built Environment degrees.

Admissions
2014 Entrance Requirements and information on the National Benchmark Test can be found here
- You may apply online. In order to apply online you will need a working email address and your South African identity number, or, if you are an international applicant, your passport number.
- Or you may download an application form or email the Admissions Office or phone +27 021 650 2128 to request an application pack.
- Applications close on 30 September (year previous to study) for South African Residents and Citizens, and for International applicants.

Applying to Architecture
Information for prospective architecture applicants can be found here.
Students wishing to apply for the Bachelor of Architectural Studies also need to complete Form 8 which includes the portfolio requirements.
Application Status
Check your application status online or follow the directions on your letter from the admissions office in order to log onto the web and determine your application status. Should you not have received your log-in and password, you may also use your names and birth date.
