EBE Postgraduate Registration 2017

 Please note that UCT Students whose registration is dependent on deferred exam results from the 2016 examination session must wait until the final results of their current degree have been ratified. Progression codes for all students will be on system by the evening of the 24 February 2017 after which all qualifiers can commence with the registration process.  

 

  • Architecture, Planning & Geomatics

    Dear Postgraduate APG student

    • Please note that registration can be completed remotely any time from 11 January 2017, at which time the forms will be made available below.
    • The deadline for submission of registration document to the Department for all APG programmes (excl CBE), both new and returning students is 1 March 2017.
    • The deadline for CBE (Conservation of the Built Environment) is 18 January 2017.
    • UCT Students whose registration is dependent on deferred exam results from the 2016 examination session must wait until the final results of their current degree have been ratified.     STEP 1:

    Download and complete the appropriate registration and curriculum form:

    1. BAS Honours

     

    2. Master of Architecture (Professional)

     

    3. Honours in GIS; Geomatics:Masters/ PhD;Mphil - Conservation of the Built Environment

     

    4. BCP (HONS) / MLA / MCRP / MUD / Architecture Masters and PhD

     

     

    STEP 2:

    If you are registering for a research masters course (60; 120; 180 credit dissertation) or PhD (360 credit) thesis then download and complete the appropriate MOU:

     

    • MOU and progress report – returning students. This should have been completed with your supervisor at the end of last year. If you did complete this last year, then you need not complete a new one, you can attach the completed version. If you did not complete this, then download this and complete now for submission).

     

     

    STEP 3:

    If you are registering for a research masters course (60; 120; 180 credit dissertation) or PhD (360 credit) thesis please ensure you have ethics clearance – more information available here.

    If you have your ethics approval, please submit your approval with your registration documents. If you are a returning student who has previously submitted this, then you are not required to submit again.

     

    STEP 4:

    Please note the following information that you need to read through:

    STEP 5:

    Please complete and sign all forms from previous steps. You only need to sign under “student signature”. You do not need to obtain the Dean’s signature, this will be done by your Departmental Administrator. You need to scan this to your Departmental Administrator (see below) for Department approval and signature. The Department will then take care of the necessary administrative processes and submit your documents to the Faculty Office for capture.

    Based on your programme, please email your forms to the following administrators:

  • Chemical Engineering

    Dear Postgraduate Chemical Engineering student

    • Please note that registration can be completed remotely any time from 11 January 2017, at which time the forms will be made available below.
    • The deadline for submission of registration document to the Department for all programmes, both new and returning students is 30 January 2017.
    • If you are an International student, please ensure that you have IAPO clearance before submitting forms to your Department as the registration cannot be processed without you being cleared. See IAPO for more information.
    • For students who are registering for a research course/ dissertation or thesis, an MOU MUST accompany the registration documents.

  • Civil Engineering

    Dear Postgraduate Civil Engineering student

     

    • Please note that registration can be completed remotely any time from 11 January 2017, at which time the forms will be made available below.
    • The deadline for submission of registration document to the Department for all programmes, both new and returning students is 30 January 2017.
    • If you are an International student, please ensure that you have IAPO clearance before submitting forms to your Department as the registration cannot be processed without you being cleared. See IAPO for more information.
    • For students who are registering for a research course/ dissertation or thesis, an MOU MUST accompany the registration documents.
    • NB:  Students in the Transport Studies Programme interested in the Transport Modelling (CIV5133Z) course, need to contact Ms Rowén Geswindt by 15 December 2016, for provisional early course registration.

  • Construction, Economics and Management

    Dear Postgraduate CEM student

     

    • Please note that registration can be completed remotely any time from 11 January 2017, at which time the forms will be made available below.
    • The deadline for submission of registration document to the Department is:
       
      • Honours students - 7 March 2017
      • New Masters students – 30 January 2017 (Forms can be printed and brought to the course)
      • Returning Masters and PG Dip – 23 January 2017 (Students registering for coursework. Forms can be printed and brought to the course)
      • All Research Masters and PhD - 30 January 2017

     

    • If you are an International student, please ensure that you have IAPO clearance before submitting forms to your Department as the registration cannot be processed without you being cleared. See IAPO for more information.
    • For students who are registering for a research course/ dissertation or thesis, an MOU MUST accompany the registration documents.

    If you are registering for a research masters course (60; 120; 180 credit dissertation) or PhD (360 credit) thesis please ensure you have ethics clearance – more information available at here.

    If you have your ethics approval, please submit your approval with your registration documents. If you are a returning student who has previously submitted this, then you are not required to submit again.

    • Please note that registration can be completed remotely any time from 11 January 2017, at which time the forms will be made available below.
