BSc (Honours) in Construction Management
This one-year postgraduate degree follows on from the undergraduate programme in Construction Studies and leads to a professional qualification as a Construction Manager. Graduates will be qualified to identify, analyse and solve problems in the field of construction assembly and manage the construction process. The degree provides graduates with the necessary grounding to specialise further in project management, property management and housing through our Masters programmes.
BSc (Honours) in Property Studies
This programme is designed for students who have completed a BSc in Property Studies and who wish to specialise in specific aspects of property valuation and management. The qualification provides the necessary foundation for further specialisation through our Masters programme in a number of fields such as: property development and management; project management; housing development; and facilities management.
BSc (Honours) in Quantity Surveying
This one-year postgraduate degree builds on the undergraduate programme in Construction Studies and leads to a professional qualification as a Quantity Surveyor. Quantity Surveyors work closely with other professionals on construction projects, and are often responsible for the financial and contractual management of projects.
Masters and Doctoral Studies
The Masters/Postgraduate Diploma in Property Studies (MSc Prop. Studies / PGDip Prop. Studies) is an inter-disciplinary postgraduate programme designed to produce graduates with the necessary skills to enter the field of property at a professional managerial level.
The Masters/Postgraduate Diploma in Project Management (MSc Proj. Mgmt. / PGDip. Proj. Mgmt.) is designed to produce graduates with the necessary skills to excel in the field of project management, the form of management considered most appropriate for the handling of multidisciplinary projects in a rapidly changing business environment.
In addition, research-based degrees in the form of the Master of Science in Construction Economics and Management (MSc CEM), the Master of Philosophy (MPhil) and the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) are also offered.
